Dead of marriage institution is something which is often discussed in today's world. In media sociologists, demographic experts, and even politicians often argue about that subject. There is a few very interesting opinions about institution of marriage.
To begin with, from an economic point of view marriage looks like unnecessary institution. Young people do not want to get married because they have enough money to live alone. They also do not have a time to look a partner because their work very long in a big corporations. Statistics shows that young people do not want to get married because they want to make a carrier first. Children and husband or wife could stop their carriers.
From a sociological standpoint less number of married couples is explained as LAT (live apart together). Couples live together have children and do not get married. Their think that this institution is not necessary for happiness.
On the other hand the church argue that living without marriage is a sin. In such countries as Poland that argument should has big influence but it has not. In bigger cities Catholic couples live without marriage, it is difficult to explain for the church but not for politicians. They argue that problem with marriage in situation exists because there is not enough new flats and there are too expensive for young people, who do not want to get married because they do not have space to live.
On the whole although there are those who would rank marriage institution as the single most important thing in their lives but the vast majority would disagree. For them money is that thing. There is evidence both to support and refute the view that marriage institution is dead. However, statistics shows that it is not very big problem in countries like Poland so we do not need to be worry about empty churches in Saturday evenings.
